L&T’s investment will be across three projects. This include Rs 2,500 crore in electronics manufacturing hub in Coimbatore, powering the electronics and automotive sectors and provide employment to 2,000 people.
The company will invest Rs 15,000 crore – Hyperscale & Edge AI Data Centre in Kancheepuram, establishing the next digital corridor beyond Chennai. The project will provide employment to 500 people.
L&T will invest Rs 1,100 crore for Offshore wind infrastructure at Kattupalli, which would create 5,700 jobs.
The investments will support Chief Minister Vijay’s vision of achieving USD 1.5 trillion economy by 2036, an official statement said.
The MOU was signed at the Secretariat in presence of Chief Minister Vijay, L&T Chairman & Managing Director S N Subrahmanyan and Tamil Nadu Industries Minister S Keerthana and other senior government officials.
