“Growth will also be affected by a higher base effect arising out of GST 2.0 demand push that we benefited from in the second half last year,” he said.

The marker of wheels for trucks and passenger vehicles said its net profit increased to Rs 53.4 crore in the second quarter of 2026 from Rs 27.8 crore in the same period last year.

Revenue grew 36 per cent to Rs 1,598 crore in the second quarter from Rs 1,179 crore in the same quarter last year. Exports increased to Rs 388 crore from Rs 299 crore.

The second quarter saw strong sales growth coming from earthmover wheels, air suspension and the domestic Indian markets for cars, trucks and tractors, Srivats Ram said.

Wheels India’s first half net profit increased to Rs 90.5 crore from 54.2 crore in the comparable period last year, while revenue increased 26 per cent to Rs 2,984 crore from Rs 2,366 crore.

“While Inflation is a concern with rising steel and fuel costs, most segments that we are in remain strong and we expect growth to continue. We are seeing some festive season build up already and the demand is not bad. Wind Mill, Hydraulic Cylinders and Construction related Fabrication segments will do well for us in the second half in addition to Construction Equipment wheels, Air Suspension and the general auto wheels market,” Srivats Ram said.
