Refex launches its Green Mobility business in Chennai

With a new office in prime area, T.Nagar in Chennai, the 21-year-old Refex group is clearly in an expansion and diversifying mode. A prominent Indian conglomerate, it has expanded its operations with the launch of Refex Green Mobility Limited in Chennai. This expansion is part of the group’s ongoing diversification efforts and commitment to environmental sustainability.

Refex Green Mobility Limited, which initially started in Bengaluru as an all-electric vehicle initiative in March 2023, is now extending its services to cater to the corporate and business travel needs of Chennai residents. The venture aims to enhance Refex Group’s ESG footprint while assisting corporate clients in reducing carbon emissions.

“Starting in Chennai to serve the corporates in our city was a natural progression for us. This is the right moment to also announce our new office in the heart of the city,” said Anil Jain, Managing Director, Refex Group. This spacious 15,300 sq. ft. office is designed to accommodate over 100 employees. The three-story building has been carefully designed to conserve energy and water. This commitment to sustainability aligns with Refex Group’s core values. Mahesh Kumar, Deputy Mayor of the Greater Chennai Corporation, marked the commencement of operations at the inauguration ceremony, emphasising the importance of sustainable mobility solutions for urban areas.
