It was held in Bengaluru from June 12-14 at Palace Grounds. The event, organized by the South India Chefs’ Association (SICA) and World of Hospitality (WOHxpo), provided a platform for chefs to showcase their skills and creativity to a national audience.

This time around, the Residency Group of Hotels won the title at the Incredible Chef Challenge 2025.

The event saw participation from hotels, restaurants, bakeries and culinary colleges across South India. They all converged under one roof at Palace Grounds to showcase their craft.

By clinching 1 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals, along with 3 merit recognitions in pastry and plated appetisers, The Residency Group was named as the Best Hotel Team.

Ajeeth Janardhanan, Culinary Director at The Residency Group of Hotels, said, “This win means everything to us. The team put their heart and soul into every dish. It’s not just about food — it’s about discipline, passion and pushing boundaries. We’ve worked day and night, and to be recognised at this level is overwhelming. This isn’t an individual win, it’s a team story.”

This  Chef Challenge is one of the region’s biggest platforms for culinary talent. This year’s edition featured diverse offerings from pastry showpieces and wedding cake artistry to pre-plated regional cuisine, live cooking sessions, fruit and vegetable carving and more. The aim was not just to test their skill but also creativity and deep culinary understanding.
