The Emerging Business segment focuses on affordable housing financing and small-ticket working capital loans.

The company has doubled the network to 100 branches over the last year and has expanded its presence outside Tamil Nadu to Andhra, Telangana and Karnataka.

The company, which launched the new emerging business segment in October 2022, took close to 3 years to set up the first 50 branches. As part of the doubling of the network to 100 branches, the company has expanded its presence outside Tamil Nadu to Andhra, Telangana and Karnataka over the last 12 months.

The company has a network of over 15 EB branches in West Tamil Nadu including small towns such as Pollachi, Dharapuram and Tirupur and registered disbursements of over Rs 70 crore in the Emerging Business segment in the region at the end of December 2025, and is targeting to double that over the next 12 months.

In the first nine months of the year, the company clocked disbursement of over Rs. 400 crore in the Emerging Business segment and is targeting to cross Rs. 500crores disbursements by the end of the year.

“While we took time to expand in the initial phase understanding the market and the new segment, the strong foundation laid in that phase in Tamil Nadu is now helping us expand rapidly into geographies outside the state. This has resulted in us doubling the Emerging Business network to 100 branches within the last 12 months. A good part of our expansion this year in this segment has taken place outside Tamil Nadu- in Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh,” D. Lakshminarayanan, MD, Sundaram Home Finance said.

“With 100 branches now in place, we believe we are well positioned for fast-paced growth in the EB segment. Subsidies announced in the budget will boost demand in the affordable housing space, serving as a key growth driver for us. We see untapped potential in the Tamil Nadu market and will expand into new Tier 4-5 locations within the state. Going forward, we will also continue to make fresh inroads into smaller towns in Karnataka, Andhra and Telangana,” he said.

The 100th Emerging Business branch was inaugurated on Friday at Avinashi, near Coimbatore, by D. Lakshminarayanan.

The company registered Net Profit of Rs.  212 crore on disbursements of Rs. 4,911crore for the first nine months ended 31st December 2025.
