The contract covers the design, engineering, supply, installation and commissioning of an Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) system, Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) system, to be executed within 11 months, according to a statement.
The deal is strategically important for WABAG as it marks its entry into the solar cell manufacturing space, strengthening its presence in UPW, ETP and ZLD solutions while opening opportunities in emerging sectors such as solar, green hydrogen and semiconductors.
“This order marks WABAG’s foray into delivering comprehensive water management solutions for solar cell facilities, one of the high-growth segments of the future,” said V. Sivakumar, General Manager – Sales & Marketing, India Cluster.
“Our technological expertise, track record and competitive lifecycle costs were key to winning this project,” he added.
