How important is Modiís German visit...

Michael Steiner is among the most articulate of European Ambassadors in Delhi. He is running the extra mile to take Indo German diplomatic, political and trade ties to the next level.

Germany being the biggest European investor in India, Steiner described how highly Germany valued Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Berlin and Chancellor Angela Merckel keenly welcomed his visit.

Steiner really kept his cool when he said: “I was expecting this question when newsmen asked about the status of the Euro fighter deal.” During the last days of the UPA regime the deal came unstuck and now the same is being revisited under Modi. Steiner said Germany was part of the consortia ready to supply the flying machines at the best possible terms to India.
