The company has inaugurated two new branches this week in Pithampur and Ratlam in MP, bringing its total branch count in the state to five. The move aligns with the company’s strategy to grow its presence in select high-potential markets outside its traditional stronghold in the South.
With this latest expansion, Sundaram Home Finance is aiming for disbursements of ₹300 crore in Madhya Pradesh during the current financial year. The new branches will add to the existing network in the state, which includes two branches in Indore.
“This expansion in Madhya Pradesh is in line with our stated intent of identifying select growth opportunities in Tier 2 and 3 towns outside South India and building a stronger base in states where we are already present,” said D. Lakshminarayanan, Managing Director of Sundaram Home Finance.
He added that MP is an important market for us outside South India. Rapid industrial growth is leading to increased affordability among the customers in the state. Over the last 12 months, we have seen a strong demand for home finance in larger towns like Indore and Bhopal in the mid-segment, with a typical ticket size of around ₹40 lakhs. We expect the demand for residential properties to take off in smaller towns such as Pithampur and Ratlam and are confident of leveraging the increasing growth opportunities in the state,” he said.
The company had crossed a significant milestone last year, with disbursements outside South India surpassing ₹1,000 crore.
The expansion in Madhya Pradesh marks a continuation of this momentum as Sundaram Home aims to diversify its geographic presence and tap into the rising demand in underpenetrated regions.
