CII southern region taskforce on tech adoption, digital transformation and industry 4.0 has launched a unique initiative for the MSMEs to assist them in excelling in their operations. The taskforce comprising of industry leaders including Siemens, Wipro and Volvo are planning to empower more than 2000 industries in a structured way.
The community is set to launch soon and is inviting industries, SMEs and institutions to connect with experts and peers. The community offers experience sharing industrial tours, digital mentorships, peer learning, networking opportunities followed by annual digital transformation summit in September 2024.
“Based on the feedback received from MSMEs this has been curated. It will help them to improve operational efficiency, drive revenue growth, make data-driven decisions, empower workforce and reduce production costs,” said Vanitha Datla, Chairperson, CII Digital Transformation Taskforce & MD, Elico Healthcare Services.
The two-month program will have topics ranging from IoT, analytics, AI, cloud computing, RPA, 5G, web 3, digital marketing and cyber security. Five industry learning missions are also planned for SMEs with the first visit to Cummins India and Siemens Experience Center in Pune. “The idea is for SMEs to gain a more practical approach and share best practices,” said Vijay Kumar Nair, Co-Chair, Digital Transformation Taskforce & VP & Country Leader, Volvo Group India.
“Participants can gain firsthand insights from over 50 leaders, witness digital transformation on the shop floor and stay updated with the latest trends,” said Usha Subramaniam, Taskforce Co Chair & Country President, Grundfos Pumps India.
