Gopal Mahadevan joins TAFE as group president

After serving Ashok Leyland for 13 years, Gopal Mahadevan has joined TAFE (Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited), the flagship company of the Amalgamation Group, as its Group President – growth & M&A.

The opportunity to work at the intersection of growth, strategy, partnerships and M&A in a sector that is vital to India’s economic development makes it particularly meaningful,” he said in his LinkedIn posting. “I look forward to working with my colleagues to support TAFE’s growth ambitions, strategic initiatives and long-term value creation journey,” he added.
“As I begin this new chapter, I look back with immense gratitude on my 13-year journey at Ashok Leyland and the Hinduja Group, which has been filled with memories and milestones. It was a privilege to work in this wonderful group and contribute to several transformational initiatives across M&A, finance, investor relations, strategy and business growth both at the board and organisation level,” he said.

Gopal Mahadevan is a Chartered Accountant and a Company Secretary with over 28 years’ experience in the Finance function across a spectrum of industries.

Gopal Mahadevan has had extensive experience in manufacturing, internet services, financial services and project companies. During his career, he has also been involved in restructuring and M&A. He has worked with renowned organizations like the Thermax Ltd, Amara Raja Batteries Ltd, Sify, Sanmar Group and TTK Pharma.
