TN inks pacts for ₹24,307 cr investments at Hosur meet

In a major push to industrial growth and job creation, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin presided over the TN Investment Conclave 2025 – Hosur, where 92 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed, attracting investments worth ₹24,307 crore and paving the way for 49,353 job opportunities.

Of the total MoUs, 53 agreements, worth ₹23,303.15 crore, were signed for large-scale industrial investments, projected to create 44,870 jobs. An additional 39 MoUs, involving ₹1,003.85 crore under the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, are expected to provide 4,483 jobs.

As part of the event, Stalin inaugurated three completed projects worth ₹250 crore, which are expected to generate 1,100 jobs, while foundation stones were laid for four new projects involving ₹1,210 crore in investments and 7,900 jobs. The Chief Minister also handed over land allotment orders to four companies for setting up manufacturing units and distributed employment orders to selected candidates.

Highlights of key projects

Aspire Footwear

The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for Aspire Footwear, a company under the Arvind Group, for a new non-leather footwear manufacturing unit at the SIPCOT Industrial Park in Kelur. The project, with an investment of ₹350 crore, is expected to generate 6,000 jobs.

Zetwerk

Zetwerk signed an MoU to establish a solar cell manufacturing facility with an investment of ₹5,000 crore, projected to create 3,000 jobs. The project is seen as a major boost to the renewable energy manufacturing ecosystem and is expected to drive solar energy exports from Tamil Nadu.

DCX Systems in pact with IAI-ELTA Systems

DCX Systems, in partnership with IAI-ELTA Systems, will set up a new defense electronics manufacturing facility in Krishnagiri. The ₹850 crore project will provide employment to 165 individuals and manufacture radar, communication systems, and defense-grade electronics.

IAMPL

Operating within the Hosur ELCOT Special Economic Zone, International Aerospace Manufacturing Pvt. Ltd. (IAMPL) plans to expand its precision aerospace and defense manufacturing operations. With an additional investment of ₹200 crore, the expansion will create 69 new jobs.

SIPCOT Advanced Manufacturing Park

SIPCOT is establishing a Hi-Tech Industrial Park at a cost of ₹210 crore, spanning 300 acres. Land has already been allotted to 22 companies, and the park is expected to attract ₹2,728 crore in total investments and generate 6,682 jobs. The park was officially inaugurated by the Chief Minister during the conference.

Vision for Hosur

Speaking at the event, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin highlighted the strategic importance of Hosur as an emerging industrial hub.

“We are planning to develop Hosur as a hub for Global Capability Centers (GCCs), IT companies, educational institutions, and high-end research centers by establishing the Hosur ‘Knowledge Corridor’,” he said.

This knowledge-driven development corridor will be implemented along both sides of the Krishnagiri–Bagalur Bypass, the Outer Ring Road, and the northern section of the Satellite Town Ring Road. Through this initiative, the knowledge economy in the region is expected to grow significantly, driving substantial social and economic development in the district.

“Today, Hosur is already known as the e-scooter manufacturing capital of the country! This conference marks the next phase of Hosur’s growth, opening doors to its continued elevation and advancement,” the Chief Minister added.
