Infra boost to the new capital

Amaravathi, the new capital, is set to get a big infrastructure boost. The Union Government has already sanctioned the construction of an outer ring road with an estimated stretch of 186 km.

 

Revival of Buckingham canal 

Gadkari said that the National Waterway-4, known as Buckingham Canal, would be revived from Kakinada to Chennai and on to Puducherry. The first phase of this project would be taken with in a month and completed in three phases.  The first phase will be finished in two years. The Dredging Corporation of India, Vizag Port, and private companies would be involved in this ambitious project, said Gadkari.
