Irshad Ahmed was also the Vice-President of the Indian Shoe Federation. He was also a former regional Chairman (South) of Council for Leather Exports and former Vice-President of Federation of Indian Export Organisations.
Leaders from the leather industry extended their condolences.
“It is with profound sorrow that the KICL family mourns the untimely demise of Irshad Ahmed Mecca, Managing Director of Farida Group,” Jinnah Rafiq Ahmed, Executive Chairman, Kothari Industrial Corporation (KICL), said in his condolence message.
“Irshad Ahmed was a sweet person, a true gentleman and a good friend of mine. I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. His kindness, warmth and friendship will always be remembered,” Ahmed said.
“We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and the entire Farida Group family during this difficult time,” he said.
“Irshad and I were both Vice-Presidents of the Indian Shoe Federation. An amazing young man, charismatic, vibrant and an industry leader. He will sadly be missed by not only his family but the entire leather and footwear fraternity,” Yavar Dhala, Vice-President, India Shoe Federation, said.
